TIME OF THE YEAR.

This time of the year is the vacation period for almost all the schools in Nigeria.

This period takes about 2months, from mid July to mid September. September is the period all schools commence.

During this vacation period volunteers engage in vacation classes. Holding extra moral classes in schools, this takes about 2hrs per day.

After the extra moral sessions they engage in research and skills development, building project frame works etc, then awaiting resumption date of schools for a better output to student.

Now this time of the year, is when Port Harcourt city in Nigeria is hit with heavy down pour of rain, being the rain forest region.

The amazing part is the august break or better called the 7days rain, this means continuous down pour of rain for 7 consecutive days.

This is strange to most of our volunteers since they have never experience such in their home countries. It’s thrilling and exciting to witness.
